St Philip Feast Day Mass

Topic Community
Date August 21, 2024

This morning we gathered together as a school to reflect on, and celebrate St Philip – one of our Patron Saints. St Philip lived in Florence between 1244 and 1285. He was a member of the Servants of Mary, and went on to become a well-loved leader of the Order.

During Mass Fr Albert explained that the depth of care and love St Philip had for his fellow Friars was so remarkable that he was and still is known today as a friend to all. Fr Albert encouraged us to show the same care and love to the people in our lives.

We are also very blessed to have been given a relic of St Philip by the Friars in Rome and today this relic was presented to our Servite Community during the Mass. Throughout the day, students were invited to visit the relic which was displayed in the ARC for the day.

Happy Feast Day to all of our Servite Community, here in Perth and around the world!
