Our Year 11 ATAR Human Biology classes recently conducted a heart dissection as part of their studies on the circulatory system.
Armed with scalpels, gloves, and safety goggles, students carefully examined the external structures of the heart, including the coronary arteries and the muscular walls of the ventricles. They were able to identify key features like the atria, ventricles, and major blood vessels, applying their theoretical knowledge to a real-world context and reinforcing their understanding of the cardiovascular system.
